Welcome to the last newsletter of 2017, we hope that you have all had a happy and healthy year!
Friday 8th December at 7.30pm is the staff/parent and committee Christmas Meal at The Wharfedale Inn, Arthington. We still have space if you would like to join us! Please see a member of staff who will point you in the direction of the menu choices, a deposit of £5 per person is required when booking and you are more than welcome to bring along a friend.
Lucky numbers, these are £1 per square, there are only a few squares left. We have 5 prizes in total one of which is a voucher for £30 kindly donated by Maria and David at the Wharfedale Inn to spend before the end of December, (useful if you’ve booked in for the meal above) and the other 4 prizes are Christmas cakes, kindly baked and decorated by Mrs Sue Grange. The lucky numbers will be drawn on Thursday 7th Dec, if you would like to choose a number please see a member of staff.
A good time was had by all at our Wreath Making evening on Friday 24th Nov, the evening was a great success and a very enjoyable one too! We managed to raise, in total £135 which was amazing!! Thank you to Daphne for her patience with us all, and to everyone who helped out and contributed Holly/Ivy Etc.
A useful link for parents https://www.portablenorthpole.com/en/home this website allows parents to create a free personalised video message from Father Christmas. It’s very believable!
St Wilfrid’s Church and Pool Methodist Church are joining together this year for the Annual Christingle Service. Please join them on Sunday 17th December at 10.30am in the Methodist Church. Christingle services up and down the country raise awareness and money to support ‘The Children’s Society’. We have a collection candle in Pre-School if anyone could spare some loose change for this worthy charity.
Finally, attached to this newsletter is your child’s invitation to the ‘Pre-School Christmas Party’ which is on Friday 15th December. It starts at 8.45am and finishes at 12.30pm. All children are invited along (no additional charge applies) and we invite parents along from 12pm to see their child receive a special gift from a very special person!! Food and drinks will be provided for the children and entertainment from “Mr Mageek” as well as fun and games such as pass the parcel. Additional information is also attached for the parents of children who attend Friday Pm sessions.
May we wish Parents and Children a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy 2018 from the Pre-School Team!
